Member of the Weinig group, Dimter is the leading manufacturer of optimizing cut-off saws in the world. The plant turns out some 450 cut-off units each year. The feed speed may range up to 415 m/min, and the optimising software for a number of quality grades can be applied to minimise the wood waste. We also supply the equipment for material handling coupled to the saw unit, as well as the LuxScan scanner devices. Dimter also makes laminating press equipment for the production of glue laminated beams.
Also a member of the Weinig group, Grecon is the renowned manufacturer of finger jointing equipment and developer of numerous innovations. Based in Alfeld near Hanover, the company produces 130 jointing lines annually. The machinery designed for high production volumes is composed of a routing and glueing section, a feeder unit, a high-speed infeed and a press section. The CombiPact equipment is capable of both horizontal and vertical jointing. The sophisticated feed and control system by Grecon guarantees the high-grade quality of the joints.
LuxScan, also a Weinig group member, is the leading company for optoelectric scanning technology in the world. All the models are designed to optimise the material consumption and to minimise the final waste. Attached to a Dimter cut-off line, Luxscan enhances the production and minimises the waste quantity.
The optimising multiblade saws of Raimann come from the works of the Weinig group in Freiburg. These machines are rigged with one or more program controlled blade units. It is also possible to set the blade positions manually by means of the Quickfix system, with no need to extract the blade arbor. This patented system makes the spacer rings unnecessary. For optimisation, the software packages RipAssist for semiautomatic work cycle and fully automatic TimberMax are available. For timber infeed, outfeed and return, various solutions are available. The Raimann multiblade saws are famous for their accurate cut, and some 350 units are produced each year.
Waco Jonsereds Ab has been a part of the Weinig Group since 1992. Situated in Halmstad in Southern Sweden, this factory manufactures high-speed planers, special planers and band resaws. Penope’s program includes the planer models Hydromat 3000, 4000 and 5000 which are used in production of lamellas for the beam and log house industry as well as in the profiling the work pieces of maximum 300 x 300 mm. The newest planer model Widemat has been designed for the dimension-ing and profiling of wide gluelam beams and log profiles with a width up to 1400 mm.
Minda is the maker of timber handling and pressing equipment for beam production. Starting from the actual needs of the customer, each line has an individual design. Jointly with the manufacturers in the Weinig group a great number of beam plants and lines have been delivered to Finland.
Auer Technik of Austria specialises in the machinery for log house production. The log working centers can be fitted with a boring head, horisontal and vertical mortising unit, groove cutting unit and a cut-off saw. The machine operations may be manual or automatic, complete with infeed and outfeed transfers and with a user-friendly programming console.
Wintersteiger offers high-quality thin-cutting technology to the fields of the wood industry where the high yield of the valuable raw material plays an important role as a competitive factor. The thin-cutting frame saws, band saws and complete cutting lines are used in the parquet industry, the furniture industry and the boat building industry.
The CNC work centers offered by the Italian Comec carry out work phases such as milling for fittings on window and door components, and profiling and jointing of furniture components. The machinery can be completed with a number of working units according to the customer’s needs. With the easy-to-use control unit complete with a graphic display the programming of the work cycle is really simple.
The speciality of Friulmac are the double end automatic machines with stepwise throughfeed. It is possible to carry out jobs such as profiling, tenoning and boring at the workpiece ends, and to join workpieces together. Typical users of the Friulmac machines are the furniture and door makers.
Vertongen, the traditional Belgian manufacturer of tenoners, has always been one of the top makers of single sided tenoning machines. Thanks to its wide variety of machines and accessories, Vertongen is able to suggest a solution for every tenoning job. It is possible to fit the machines e.g. with long spindles, CNC control and automatic table stroke.
